A Collection of Favorite Recipes Created for My Grandchildren

2023

It has been many years since I posted the first recipe to this site.  So much has changed.  The picture below of me with my grandchildren is more current than the previous one, but our great-grandbaby in the picture is four years old and we have two more "greats" as well for a total of three--Avery, Julia and Weston.  There are a few new additions on the recipe page but not as many as have been requested.  I am still hoping to add more, but my health limits my time on my computer.  As before just click on the recipe title block to open the recipe PDF.

To my favorites,

I created this website to provide recipes for you. As you know I have been working on a cookbook for you to have when you have kitchens of your own, but it isn't finished yet.  I know you had your own kitchen in your apartment in Las Vegas, Kurt.  But when I saw your apartment in Seattle, it made me realize that the cookbook is way overdue and that I needed to get busy. I thought I could at least get something up on a website. My goal is to create the cookbook (and website) to help us remember all the wonderful times we have shared in my kitchen.  I want you to be able to remember the time we made Crème Brûlée the night before Thanksgiving.  I'll never forget Brooklyn's response when she heard about the torch used to caramelize the sugar on the Crème Brûlée. "Fire! There's gonna be fire? I wanna help?”
We took plenty of pictures during our adventures in cooking, so it is a “no-brainer” that they will be included with the recipes.  There are also some recipes that I always cooked without your help, but made them frequently because they were your favorites.  I will include some of those recipes with pictures showing some of the preparation, as well as the finished product.
I hope you enjoy the cookbook (if I ever get it finished), as well as the website.  Please let me know if I am leaving out any of your favorites.
 With love,
 Gma
